  • Is Squaremuse a one-time or monthly payment?

    Squaremuse design products are all a one-time payment digital product. 

  • What are the 7.0 and 7.1 references on your designs?

    Squarespace refers to their new platform version that has been launched in 2019 as Squarespace 7.1, while the previous version is referred to 7.0. The two platforms differ structurally, and that is why it’s important to double-check that the design version matches your Squarespace site version.

  • What is the difference between Squarespace 7.0 and 7.1?

    The two Squarespace versions are structurally different, while also differing in the way pages are built out, settings that are presented and the available features, ie. parallax. Read this article on things to know about Squarespace 7.1.

  • Do 7.1 Squaremuse Designs work with Fluid Engine?

    All our 7.1 designs - Design Kits, Sales Pages and Custom Elements - are built on the classic Squarespace 7.1 builder and do not support Fluid Engine. Should you choose to enable Fluid Engine on your website, know that this action will break your Squaremuse product, since it relies on a different platform version.

  • How do I know which Squarespace version I’m on?

    You will find your site’s Squarespace version by going to Help tab. For instructions read this.

  • Do you offer refunds?

    Due to the digital nature of our products all purchases are final. Users are not guaranteed refunds or free product switching, if a wrong Squarespace version design has been bought. Refer to question 04.

  • Do you offer support with your designs?

    Absolutely. We offer support through several channels: documentation and FAQs, Facebook group community, Facebook chat and ticket system. Before submitting a ticket please check existing documentation and faqs, as most probably your issue has already been addressed. If you did not find a solution, please read through Support Terms & Conditions before submitting a ticket.

  • What to expect after I purchase a Design Kit?

  • What is a Page and Block Library?

    Our Design kits and Sales Pages for Squarespace 7.1. include a Page and Block Library which is enabled through a script. You will need to follow your documentation articles to add the script to the site. Once enabled it will allow you to easily pull sections and page templates without the need to manually rebuild them. Use sections across pages, reapply original page templates, and never worry about losing the demo layouts. Check how it works here.

  • My site is on Squarespace, will I lose my content when implementing a Squaremuse Design Kit?

    If your site is on Squarespace, whenever you start implementing the new design all your content and pages will remain intact. You will need to add a Coming Soon landing page, while you implement the design template on your existing website. Follow the article ‘Existing 7.1. website’ inside your documentation to go through the implementation process.

  • Do I need to know code to be able to implement a Squaremuse design?

    No coding skills are required. All our designs are DIY friendly and easy to use. Each of them comes with documentation and step-by-step video tutorials that guide your through the setup process and explain how to work with the code that comes with the design. We also have a dedicated Support Team available to answer your questions and a Facebook Community where our team and clients help each other. We’ve got your back.

  • What if I already have a 7.1. website, how can I update my design with your 7.1. design kits?

    If you already have an existing 7.1. website and you want to update it with one of our 7.1. design kits, you can easily do it by following the ‘Existing 7.1. website’ article inside your provided documentation. You will be required to set a Coming Soon page while you work on your new site refresh. If you prefer to skip the implementation process you can choose to purchase Installation Support package to have our team implement the design for you.

  • Can I create an e-commerce Squarespace site with Squaremuse designs?

    Absolutely! Shop pages can be added in Squarespace once you have Commerce plan. While our design kits don't come with instructions on how to stylize shop pages, as they have separate settings in Squarespace, you can still easily use any of the designs with e-commerce plan.   • What is the best Squaremuse design for non-photographers?

    All of them! Our designs are not meant for photographers alone. We have a wide range of creatives use our designs - from interior designers, lifestyle magazines, bloggers, make-up artists, to event planners and florist designers.   • How easy to customize are your designs?

    So easy! Everything you see in our demos can be changed, as much as your imagination lets you - tweak fonts, colors, section backgrounds or text size to match your brand aesthetics. Our tutorials cover the customization process, however if you have some custom ideas that you’d like implemented - reach out directly to our team.

  • Is it possible to change the fonts and colors that come with the design?

    Oh yes! All fonts and colors are customizable + you can upload your own brand typography. Refer to question 14.

  • Are your designs mobile friendly?

    You bet they are! Each design has been thoroughly tested to work properly and look beautiful on all devices.

  • What does Medium and Easy difficulty levels on Custom Elements stand for?

    Each custom element has a difficulty level assigned, which also determines the cost of the element and how much customization was achieved through custom code. All Easy custom elements use only basic CSS code, which is an available feature with all Squaresapce plans. All Medium elements use CSS code and JavaScript Code, for which you’d require to have at least the Business plan with Squarespace. While there are various difficulty levels, each and every element comes with step by step tutorials to assist you through the implementation.

  • What is an Installer/Installation Wizard?

    It’s an absolute game-changer, that’s what it is! Basically, the Installation Wizard sets up the demo template into your Squarespace account in up to 10 minutes. It saves you a few good hours that you’d spend to manually create all your page layouts. Once you run the Installer, you get a draft of your site that you only need customize (tweak site styles), implement the CSS code and populate with imagery and copy. No worries, though! Our tutorials will guide you through each of these steps. Note that the Installer only works with Design kits  for 7.0 and Pricing Kits for 7.0.

  • Does the Installer come with all Squaremuse designs?

    The installer comes with 7.0 Design Kits and Pricing Kits. Custom Elements are implemented manually, while 7.1 Design Kits are delivered as trial demo websites within your Squarespace account.

  • I got a non-Installer version Design Kit a while ago, can I upgrade to the Installer version?

    You can! If you purchased a design kit between January 17th 2020 and May 26th 2020, you can request a free installer version upgrade. If you purchased a design kit before January 17th 2020, you can request the installer version by paying the price difference of $49. For Pricing Kits, your documentation was updated and you already have access to the installer version, no upgrade is needed. For all installer version upgrade claims or any other questions, please email us directly at info@squaremuse.com
    Please note that we recommend you to consider the installer version only if you haven't implemented your design yet. If you've already set up your design into your Squarespace account - there is no need to upgrade, since the design itself stays the same. The only difference is in the setup process.

  • What if I get stuck? Can I ask for your help?

    Of course! You’re not in this alone. If you hit any bumps on the road while setting up your website, submit a ticket here and our support team will get back to you. If you need full assistance with getting started, you can check out our setup service packages.

  • Can I hire your team to install the design for me?

    We have a limited number of service projects we take on monthly. You can check available services here. If you need assistance with the installation of custom elements, reach out to us directly at support@squaremuse.com or check our Support packages.

  • Do you do custom websites?

    We do not work with custom projects, however you can always use our designs as a base while working with other design and web providers to further customize it.
