This past year didn’t go as planned, and we can’t tell what 2021 has in store for us. But one thing we know for sure - we love to plan ahead. In this article, we’ll share with you our 2021 vision, and all the exciting products and ideas we’re planning to bring to the table.
Squaremuse Roadmap & Exciting things to expect in 2021
Our users have been asking for more 7.1 designs and we listened. Squaremuse’s main focus in 2021 is products that support the newer Squarespace version. This means bringing some of our most popular 7.0 designs to 7.1 but also coming up with new creations for this version.
Price Changes
Design Kits 7.1 increase in price to $299
When you purchase a 7.1 design kit, you receive a free demo setup for your new Squarespace 7.1 website. You get a website that you can start populating with content and add your branding to, right away. This saves you HOURS of manual work and lets you launch your website in just a few days.
While Squarespace allows us to create duplicates for 7.1 websites, there are multiple tweaks that need to be manually adjusted, so your new demo website looks good and ready to go. All the extra work required from our team leads to the price increase.
If you already have a 7.1 website and want to get one of our designs, you’ll need to add Installation Support to the cart to have our team install it inside your account manually, as Squarespace doesn’t provide options to implement a design template automatically within an existing website. The Installation Support package price will not change.
Full Setup is upgraded and increases in price to $1499
Our team has been getting more requests on setups, and it’s so exciting that most of our clients have branding that can be translated into their website, as well as beautiful visions that lead to font/color/graphic customizations. In order to be able to bring all your ideas to life, we’re updating our Full Setup, to cover more customization options, branding translation, or shop stylization. We will announce more details on this service in January when it’s available in our shop.
Additionally, we’ll be adding one more setup service, called “Simple Setup”. It will cover the implementation of your design kit as per the demo site, with your imagery and text.

Design Kits
1.1. Converting 7.0 Design Kits into 7.1. (Q1)
Per popular demand, we will be bringing Elise and Lyra into 7.1.
1.2. New 7.1 Designs (Q1 and Q4)
We are planning to bring in several new collections of 7.1 designs created for photographers, educators, designers, and service providers.
Custom Elements
1.1. Converting 7.0 into 7.1. (Q2)
We will convert some of our existing 7.0 custom elements into 7.1, like sliders and header images.
1.2. New Custom elements 7.0 and 7.1 (Q2 and Q4)
We will be bringing in new elements available for 7.0 and 7.1 Squarespace, based on the feedback we’ve been getting from our users over the year.
NEW: Sales Landing Pages (Q3)
Our team is working to create sales-driven pages for Squarespace 7.1., that you can add to your design kit, or purchase stand-alone.
